Tornado Watch issued for much of the Ozarks, including Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the southern half of the Ozarks till early Thursday morning.

The watch lasts till 2:00 a.m.? It includes the counties Barry, Christian, Douglas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton (MO), Ozark, Stone, Taney, Webster, and Wright in Missouri.? It also includes the counties Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Stone, and Washington in Arkansas.

Snow showers are expected behind the front.? Expected snow totals range from a dusting to one-inch accumulations throughout the Ozarks.
